Dahab trips: frequently asked questions

How do I pay?

Cash on the day of the trip — USD, EUR or EGP. No prepayment needed for day trips.

Are entry tickets included?

Everything listed under “Included” is covered. Blue Hole ($20 pp / $10 in group) and Three Pools ($10) protectorate tickets are paid on site — we keep it transparent so the price stays low.

Is pickup really from my hotel?

Yes — hotel-to-hotel anywhere in Dahab. Pickup from Assalah, Lagoon, Lighthouse or camps outside town is arranged when you book.

Can we make it private?

Any trip can run private for your group — tell us on WhatsApp and we'll quote it.

How do I book a trip?

Send one WhatsApp message with the trip, the date and how many people. We reply, usually within minutes, and confirm your pickup time.

Which trip is best if I only have one day?

Dahab All-in-One fits six activities into one day and mixes the desert and the sea. If you mainly want to snorkel, take Blue Hole + Abu Galum + Blue Lagoon.

Can non-swimmers and small children join?

Yes. On the Semi-Submarine Reef Trip you watch the reef and fish through windows below deck, with no swimming needed. For other trips, tell us your children's ages on WhatsApp before you book.

Do you run the Mount Sinai sunrise hike?

Yes. Mount Sinai Sunrise + St. Catherine is a night hike to see the sunrise from the top, then the walk down past St Catherine's Monastery. It is cold at the summit at night, so bring warm layers.

What is The Sinai Loop?

Seven days in Dahab and Nuweiba for people travelling alone, with eleven other solo travellers. Rooms are shared with no single supplement, and dinner is at one long table every night.

When is the best time to visit Dahab?

October to May is the most comfortable for desert trips and Mount Sinai; June to September is hot inland but the sea is at its warmest. Month by month: Dahab weather by month.

Where is the best snorkeling in Dahab?

Most reefs start a few metres from the beach, so you snorkel from the shore. See Dahab snorkeling spots and the Blue Hole snorkeling guide.

Not sure which trip to pick?

Send us your dates and who you are travelling with. We answer on WhatsApp, usually within minutes.
